Our family started our wellness journey late June. One day, our 12-year son came to us crying saying he thinks he has diabetes. He had Googled all his symptoms and Google diagnosed it as diabetes. This is when we decided that we have to make some healthy food changes because he was really scared he might die of obesity. I saw the testimony of the family who took on the UBA challenge and contacted Claudia. She immediately informed us that she would coach him, but that it would only work if the whole family was on the challenge. We didn’t expect that, but we agreed to the challenge. It has been a huge adjustment to how we used to live, but the results are very evident. The journey was difficult and emotional but we realized that everything we do and experience is impacted by what we eat. Zach refused to do any sport for a full year, now he’s playing soccer again and plays with his friends. He makes better food choices and even tells us you’re not supposed to eat that. My husband has lost so much weight his clothes don’t fit him anymore and I’m following suit. We’ve learned a lot through the process, take out is not an option anymore (it’s too difficult finding good food) we have to plan ahead and everyone plays a role in the preparation. Claudia and the coaches motivate us daily and there’s private check ins on a weekly basis so you don’t feel alone. Our whole family is on the health journey now and the kids don’t know the difference anymore. We spend a lot of time together and we are always finding ways to keep fit. Our body confidence has improved and we are getting a lot of compliments. As parents we play an extremely important role in the health of our family and we have to make better choices for them. Thank you, Claudia and the team, for your contributions to the health of our family. UBA rocks #Godisinit
